Quick answers for families interested in the Western Wisconsin North Stars, Western Wisconsin Nova, and Total Development programs.
Where will the programs play out of?
The programs will play out of River Falls, WI at the Wildcat Center.
Are Minnesota players allowed to try out?
Yes. Even though the programs are called Western Wisconsin, players from Minnesota and surrounding areas are welcome to register and try out.
How much is the tryout?
Tryouts are $25 per player.
What should be included in the Venmo payment note?
Please include the player’s full name and birth year in the Venmo payment note. Example: John Smith - 2016.
When does registration open?
Registration opens July 1.
How much is the AAA program?
The program cost is $1,500 for selected players.
How many tournaments are included?
The program includes 4 total tournaments.
How many practice hours are included?
The program includes 24–30 total hours of practice time.
Will players have June and July off?
The programs are designed with June and most of July off.
How will team placement be communicated?
Team placement and follow-up communication will be sent to families using the contact information submitted in the registration form.
What is Total Development?
Total Development is a summer hockey school focused on on-ice development, small-area games, off-ice footwork, decision-making, coordination, and outdoor play.
What is Western Wisconsin Rising Stars?
Western Wisconsin Rising Stars is a mite hockey development program for boys and girls ages 4–8 at the Wildcat Center in River Falls, Wisconsin.
Is joining the Rising Stars interest list a commitment?
No. Joining the interest list is not a commitment and is not a completed registration. It helps us plan days, times, group sizes, and communication.
What are the Rising Stars groups?
New Stars is for beginners and first-time skaters. Rising Stars is for players ready for more puck skills and small-area games. Players are placed by experience and ability, not strictly by age.
