Meet the people behind the programs.

Western Wisconsin North Stars and Western Wisconsin Nova are built around development, communication, and creating a positive hockey experience for players and families. Our coaching staff brings experience from youth, high school, junior, collegiate, professional, AAA, and player-development hockey.

Owner / GM

Dylan Otto

A native of Menomonie, Wisconsin with more than 16 years of experience as a coach, evaluator, referee, and scout, Dylan brings a well-rounded background in player development. A former Team Wisconsin and junior-level player with a Minor in Coaching Hockey, he has served as a Kohlman Cup head coach and Team Wisconsin coach while working with athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Throughout his career, Dylan has helped develop seven NCAA Division I players, four professional players, and one U.S. Olympic gold medalist. Dylan currently serves as an assistant coach for the River Falls High School hockey program.

Tim Beres

A native of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Tim boasts an extensive hockey career playing at the high school, Junior A, and collegiate levels, most notably as a member of the UWRF Men’s Frozen Four team.

He enters his ninth season of coaching, with experience at Hudson Girls, Catholic Memorial, Woodbury, and Simley high schools. He has made four state tournament appearances and been part of two state championship teams.

Zachary DeMarce

A native of Menomonie, Wisconsin, Zach DeMarce is a former professional hockey player, founder and lead instructor of NXT STEP Hockey, and coach with the Eau Claire North High School program.

He specializes in developing complete players through skating, skill development, hockey IQ, confidence, strong habits, and character.

Jordan Koski

A native of Park Falls, Wisconsin, Jordan played youth hockey with Price Ice and high school hockey for Team S.E.a.L.

Jordan has coached River Cities U18 Junior Gold, AAA Blaze, the Western Wisconsin North Stars, and the UW–River Falls Women’s Club Hockey team.
